Just finished Pondoro by John Taylor
It was OK.Very boring in the beginning and then gets more interesting as you go on.It gave me the feeling as if I was having a discussion with someone and he was telling me about his African experiences by recounting bits here and there. It doesn`t read like a life story the way Months of the Sun does.I like it when he writes about rifles and shooting with open sights.I started to read Maneaters and Marauders.

Shootaway,
I had similar feelings reading his book. He wrote when he was in need of money. Not well written and a tragic story to say the least.
