The Sleepwalkers
History writers seem to be getting better these days. Last month I read "The Sleepwalkers" by Christopher Clark.

Ever wonder how Europe went to war in 1914? As far as I am concerned, this is the definitive book on the subject, as in if-you-can-only-read-just-one. I like Barbara Tuchman's "Guns of August", but "The Sleepwalkers" provides a lot more information and scholarship. As with my recommendation for "Alexander Hamilton", I should add that this isn't light reading.

I will look for that. I have all of Barbara Tuchman's books + have learned quite a bit from her research. Look forward to reading this one.
