twobobbwanaSkabenga, The Killer Lust, African Fury
I'm throwing out the challenge to all you "procurers" out there who are proud of your abilities to find the "unobtainable".
A mate of mine keeps on about a movie "Skabenga", also known as "The Killer Lust" or "African Fury.
It's a 61 minute movie which was produced by Edward Bernds in 1955, narated by Michael Pate and based on a book by George Michael.
George Michael filmed his hunts and I believe this was then turned into the documentary/film/Skabenga.
George Michael had a gunstore in South Africa (Johannesburg ??) and later migrated to the U.S.
I have seen Movie posters advertised and they show pictures of a gent who was also in a short series called (here in Australia) "African Album".
I would dearly love to get a copy of "Skabenga" or the series "African Album" and would pay reasonable money for it.
There is apparently some very good footage of elephant shooting in Skabenga and I saw some very good footage of Lion shooting in "African Album".
Please help me obtain copies of these I need to see them and to show them to my old mate.

twobobbwanaShakari,
Tatenda (if my memory and Shona ?? doesn't fail me) Thank you for your efforts. I have the book, plus a set of "Lobby Cards". I just checked the TCM link and it's "not available on Home Video" but you can vote for the production of the DVD.
I'll be happy to buy you a case of beer (Castle, Bollinger, Zambezi, Carling....???) whatever suits your taste.........along with enough Biltong to accompany it.......but you'll have to do better.
I need the video/dvd in any language and I'll make it playable in Australia.
Thanks again for your efforts. Hope you're getting enough rain in SA to provide you with a good hunting season and you've booked clients who can shoot, walk and enjoy the hunt.
Pete
