Bonds of Africa by Owen Lechter
Written in 1910 roughly about a trip that went from the Cape to Cairo, a Victorian, flowery, English romantic style with an over use of descriptive words, this was boring. Auther has plenty of "Africa" to write about but mainly talked about the various places he toured and his memories. Many random stories of hunts and his hikes. Observations were not as interesting as Selous or others and his prose was hard to read. Would not re-read.
On a 1 to 10 scale - rating a 3.
