I just picked up a set of Foxfire books. 1 thru 9. Wonderful reading, cant seem to put them down. Can not recall when the last time was that I have enjoyed a set of books so much.

Especially if you think you might need to make a moonshine still, scrape a hog, do water witching, or build a banjo from scratch.
