Dutch military history around WWII?
Anyone have a favorite title that covers this relatively obscure theater -- the Dutch East Indies -- in WWII? At first glance, it seems the Dutch were ill-advised and clumsy in their response to Japanese imperialism in the late 1930s, e.g., trying to change service rifle calibers and other blind allies. I'd like to read aomething about Dutch military thinking and leadership, or lack thereof in this period.

Heh. Guess this topic is even more obscure than I realized.

Dankie, Doug. Was reading about poor Admiral Doorman going down with his ship after the Japanese routed the Allies in the Battle of Java Sea.
