I entered this years ago but will do it again.You NEED to read the whole collection of the Flashman series by George Macdonald Fraser. He is the ultimate hero/rougue who took place in every military action in the 19 th century from the Kabul debacle in '42 to the Zulus at Rourke's Drift with everything in between.(Otto Bismark to little big horn,to the boxer rebellion,just to name a few.)I read these books over + over. Good stories + true history.If you have not read them then I envy you for your 1st taste.
