LeonKomkovBill Negley
For Christmas, my daughter gave me a copy of the Amwell Press's 1989 edition of Bill Negley's "Archer in Africa." The book details Negley's two fair chase bowhunts to take the Big Five. Rather than chest-pounding about his feat, Negley carefully documents the preparation and training for the hunts, and details the mistakes he made along the way. There's also very literate and interesting discussion of hunting in Angola, Zaire, Zambia and Kenya in teh late 50's and early 60's. If you can find a copy, I highly recommend it.
