I haven't read any other books strictly dedicated to Cape Buffalo hunting but I would be surprised if there is a better one out there. Boddington's is 247 pages of great buffalo hunting experience being shared. (This and "Sheep Hunting in Alaska" by Tony Russ are probably the best two how-to hunting books I've read.)

I found one or two comments / statements that I would question the accuracy of in "Buffalo!", but overall it was a great read.

One comment that seems incorrect was on Page 208; "A few years ago a peer of the realm, the eldest son of the Lord Mountbatten who led the Commandos at Normandy, was killed by a buffalo". The only Lord Mountbatten I'm familiar with had two daughters, no sons. (Who knows, maybe there were two Lord Mountbattens, but I doubt it, or maybe the "son" was really a son-in-law.)

What I found great as I was reading the book was that my PH in Zimbabwe this year was mentioned in the book, and his approach to buffalo hunting was identical to Boddington's. I felt like I was reading about my own hunt.

If you enjoy buffalo hunting or just dreaming about buffalo hunting you'll enjoy this book.

I got "Boddington on buffalo" a month ago and its a great movie, learning and informatic (right words?)

It`s not just about buffalo hunting but also about the rifle and cartridge /bullet selection aswell, also included trophy care,shotplacement.

In short ,a heck of a film that the novice and pro can learn something from.

It lasts 3 hours,but its worth it,

Kensco, I just finished "BUFFALO", and it was a great book. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more about buffalo hunting.

This book is a MUST for the serious Mbogo Hunter ! I recomend it highly !

Idont hunt cape buffalo but i guide water buffalo very often so ill buy it ,SAFARI RIFLES is one of the best rifle books i have .Juan

I bought the book at the SCI show and just finished it. Very well done. For anyone contemplating a buff hunt this book is a worthwhile read.
