JUst want to tell you all about a new book i found at lulu.com

It is called african hunters cook book.

It has a some amazing recipies in it and it has some strange recipies as well for elephant trunk, Monkey cane rat.

But mostley it has recipies for plains game and game birds.

The duiker steak parcels were excellent and the curries were even better.

I really recommend this book.

It also has a whole section on game preperation and there is a pigeon debresting series of photos that is really excellent. Cant wait to get to the field to try it out.

It is a collection of recipies that i got from other hunters when i was training or on trips or meetings.

They are the ones that i thought people would be most intrested in.

Took me along while to get it all together.

I had to limit it to 197 recipies due to the cost involved but i hope you have lots of enjoyment from it.

Any old recipes for cooking missionaries? The argument has long been sauce or no sauce. Sauteed, broiled or deep fat fried. Mormons were always the favorite. There were always more helpings on the way.

nope I restricted the publication of those recipes.

There is a good recipe for impala head to share with a loved one though.

I was tempted to put in a few recipes for anti gun and greenies but was told that the hunting of these particular animals comes with a life sentence and that eating them could potentially poison the eater so I left them out as well.

Hello from Australia, I read the forum and bought the book,there are lots of recipes which can be used on our Long - Tailed Hopping Venison in lieu of African game.It is a good read but I can't imagine hanging around the campfire for four hours waiting for a haunch roast, it would be good for a day when you are rained in .Best regards from Oz.

I did not think about them being interchanged with the local venison. But i hope that you enjoy it never the less. I have had some really good reports and man magnum had a write up on it as well.
