My Book In Catalog
Hope this doesn't seem self-serving, ego-puffing and commercial, but a couple of you have asked when my own book will be available.

Safari Press has listed "Sixty Years A Hunter" on its website and in its upcoming catalog. It's a 250-page, signed, numbered, limited edition of 500 copies for $65 each, "available Winter 2009."

About a third of its pages cover my hunts in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia and Botswana. Another third is devoted to North American hunts, and most of the remainder talk about hunts in Asia, Europe, South America and New Zealand.

There also is a chapter about my experiences as a contractor producing SCI's magazines, newspapers and record books.

It and several of my other books are listed at the site below. You'll need to do a search for "Quimby" and "author."

Thank you. It will be a while before they're ready, though. The catalog and website say "Winter 2009." I' m telling friends that only 500 will be printed so it doesn't hurt to order now. Credit cards aren't billed until the book is shipped, or so the website says.

Bill Quimby has been writing about others for years now, and his own hunting experiences will make great reading. I am sure there will be not only great hunting stories but accounts of hunting with some of the best in the business.... All I can say is that it is about time this book was written and soon available to us.

Larry The Cable guy told Bill (or so I hear) to "git er done...." and he done it...my order goes in now.... thumb

And, Bill, that lady still hasn't called me animal
