Anyone read this book and have a view on it? Author was Christopher Ondaatje.

It is on my list. I am currently working my way through A Life Without Consequences - James Mellow. It is a little more than I had in mind, but well written.
How is Hemingway in Africa...or are you looking for opinions before you crack it open?

Haven't even bought it yet. Was looking for opinions before I put a Barnes and Noble gift card to productive use. I just had never seen it before or heard anyone mention it before so thought I would check with the group before I made the plunge.

So, so. There are lots of other books out there that I would put ahead of this one.
