Thomas LHistory of old times African hunting
Hello,
Can anybody help me finding any overwiev literature about the old days of african hunting. I´ve read LOTS of narrative books through the years about the old hunters of East Africa (Bell, Selous etc.) and their adventures, but not very much about the history of things.

dougaboySafari: A Chronicle of Adventure by Bartle Bull is a good place to start. I also suggest that you go to safaritracks.com and look at their recommended reading list as they mention some very good books there. The reading list can be found by going to the On Safari page from their home page.

brianboLook for a book titled "Scouting on Two Continents" I'm sorry I don't recall the name of the author but he was a hunter/guide of some reknown in North America and then went to Africa. Fascinating read.
