LHeym5001920 Edition African Game Trails?
I think my Wife just gave me a 1st Edition Copy of African Game Trails.
The Title Page says Full Title, 1910 with Elephant head in a circle, Volume I, New York, Charles Scibner’s Sons 1920.
The binding is green with TR stylized in a circle. Nothing else is on the outward cover.
The spine in gold says:
African Game Trails
I
-
Roosevelt
SCRIBNERS
at very bottom edge of spine.
I know it is not a First Edition, but does anyone one what exactly this is?
Condition is Good.
I cannot find another one on the internet like it.

NormanConquestIt's definitely a collectible. Kudos to your wife; very nice gift. I also am enamored by 1st editions but although this is not, it is still a very collectible book. It's fine reading regardless.

JefffiveScribner's did a reprint in 1920 that's as you describe in two volumes.
This should be the correct Volume II

Thank you. That is it.
Doesn't seem to have been any revision so technically I think it's a First Edition, Later Reprint.

LHeym500I have a true first Edition of what would be Volume 2 in this series. It is the Memoir of his barn storming after the hunt. This is when he delivered his “Man in the Arena” speech. It was published in 1910. However, it was not taken care of and is literally turning into dust.
