Given the recent developments in accurate reporting of events of the world, I suggest that anyone who hasn't read Evelyn Waugh start by reading his book "Scoop". It takes place in a mythical country (Ethiopia) and describes with great sarcasm how reporting in major newspapers is done. Another good book by the same author is "Black Mischief".
