billinthewildRichard harland, The Hunting Imperative
Just finished and it has to be one of the best I have read. The story of his life, his hunting adventures with the elephants, combined with his descriptions of habitat, wildlife, and relationship with his friends and his lifelong hunting compadre, Tsuro, make his book very memorable to me.

MJinesAll three of Richard's books are excellent. He is a good writer and a darn nice fellow to boot.

yukon deltaIndeed. He is the real thing and not many left like him. Bill, you really need to get his book on Paul Grobler called African Epic. It's very good.
