Head TraumaAfrican hunting literature question
Sometimes an author will use a single initial rather than the persons name to identify a hunting companion, i.e. " C. and I got up next morning to look for lion." More often than not "C" is never properly identified.
Anyone know the reason for this?

JBrownMy guess has always been that it was either because the author did not have permission to identify his hunting partner, or to protect his hunting partner from the law.
