Just a reminder of how much men, times, and values have changed. Hunting and living in the woods were arts back then, and many men treasured their ability to do many things and have great adventures while using very little by way of material possessions.

These folks and their likenesses taught me to hunt, fish, explore, and love the North American woods.

The first two chapters (total of 19 small pages) describe "The Calling" and "The science of Going Light", and are to me worth the price of the book. The following 17 chapters are all bonuses.

This is NOT a guns or shooting book, but a book on living or traveling in the woods in safety and comfort, and reaping the joys those skills make possible.
