MacD37The Hunting Blackbeards of Botswana
I just started the book
The Hunting Blackbeards of Botswana by
Brian Marsh ( Roland Ward )
It has just been released, and the copy I have is No66 of 200, signed, collector's edition, Given to me by our very generous host, for which I'm eternally grateful.
The Balckbeard family has been in Africa since the early 1700s, and if you are interested in the history of the settling of Africa by Europeans, then it is a must read, based on what I have read so far!
I'll do a book report when I finish it! So far a good read, and it is avaliable from Safari press.

Mac,
You will like it.
I enjoyed it.
I already am likeing it! It is not a hunting book as such, but a real history of the Blackbeard family in Botswana. It is, IMO, a welcome change from the rack-um stack-um books so often connected with the hunting of big game!
I was interested in this book because I've talked to Ronnie Blackbeard a couple times, and he is the real thing, and fine man to talk to! The family actually were hosting safaris in Botwana long before any of the so-called founders of safari hunting there. A good read!
