Kambaku by Harry Manners
Excellent book and very well written. It tells half the story of the life of a vagabond hunter, Harry Manners, that spent his time in Moz. It is a bit tragic in that his fiance drowned before they married and he was never reconciled with his own family. He killed over 1000 elephants with a Model 70 in .375 H&H. He is an excellent writer. Good read.

I rate this one at 8 out of 10 due to the easy reading and the fact that it is not a "I shot this and it measured this" type of book. It tells more of the heart and soul of the guy and is a solid book.

Too bad he died before he wrote the rest of the story of his life.
