The Battle for Zimbabwe by Geoff Hill
Currently reading the title book and am having a hard time putting this one down. Hill jumps around in time a bit much, but has captured my interest from the first chapter.

I've never been a student of African politics, and I do realize one book does not a student make, but I will definitely be looking more historical and socio-economic history books of Africa rather than just reading the hunting tomes.

I'm not sure how correct Hill's ideas of context are (hardly any two people can agree on history, politics or religion anyway), but does certainly provide some thought.

I would not carry this book in my luggage to Zim. I don't think comrade Mugabe would approve.

How does one find Geoff Hill's book?

I ordered it through Don Causey's "The Hunting Report". It is a very interesting look at the issues in Zimbabwe today, as well as insight into many of southern Africa countries.

Bill,
I couldn't find it on "The Hunting Report" website now. I did a search on Amazon.com and found a copy there.
