loucfirChildrens books?
I have exausted my story telling to the granchildren, as they love to sit in my trophy room asking about this and that animal. Okay, I suppose some of the stories my have been yarns or simple misrepresentations of fact, well you expect that of old people...even "Grandpa."
I am looking for books that talk to children, I know we still think were young, but juvenile type books with hunting stories. We love to sit and read and open those minds and share our love of what we enjoy. So many people are to busy these days to read the written word, depending on TV, video hunting...I guess I'm looking back to a simpler time.....Any help with kids books would help.
Thanks, Tom

billrquimbySafari Press has one, but I've forgotten its title. The last time I checked the Safari Press list it was being offered at a reduced price. I believe its title began "The Education Of ....."
I also seem to remember that a company called Falcon Press published a quarterly magazine designed for youngsters who hunt. You might try Googling it. It also may have the books you want.
Good luck.

Idaho Sharpshooter"Jim Corbett's India" selected by R.E. Hawkins by Oxford.
Always a good choice for teaching them manners and how the hunter/fisherman is a necessary part of the world, Robert Ruark's "The Old Man & The Boy" and the "The Old Man's Boy Grows Older". The first, especially, reflects what growing up can be with the proper Grandfather...I had one like that.
