Apocalypse Now
Not a hunt item, but if you liked the original movie, try to get a copy of the one called Apocalypse Now Redux. 53 more minutes. A lot more Brando.....and much better overall.....202 minutes.... thumb Not a great one for youngsters......

It's also interesting to read Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness", the story upon which "Apocalypse Now" was inspired. There is also a film version of "Heart Of Darkness", haven't seen it.

That is a great movie! I was in the Air Cav and not a day went by that someone wasn't quoting Bill Kilgore.

Yes, good movie. I actually have the original and the redux. The latter is even more disturbing than the original!

I liked the original better than the redux ,which i have seen about 20 times ,because its one of my favourite movies and more enjoyable with several beers or alot of beers ,some of the movie script is word for word out of the book ,the is also a documentary about the making of the Movie call ''Hearts of Darkness'' ,about all the disasters which took place, trying to make the movie, lucky Coppola had a positve and supportive wife ! there is a movie with Tim Roth called'' Heart of Darkness'' based on the book which is hopeless .The Original radio broadcast is available on the net by Orson Welles which is well worth listening to.I was lucky enough to visit the site where they made the Movie in the Phillipines at Pajasanan, where theres a waterfall and boat trip [wrong spelling] where you can see whats left of the foundations ,which is all thats left after they blew it all to bits at the end of the filming ,which is a pity as it could have been a tourist attraction and helped the very poor locals .
