Idaho RonAmerican Arms made a SXS double 3.5" gun. I have the O/U waterfowl special version. A friend of mine has the SxS. Check this one out. Ron

tiggertateCan't you extend the chamber of a 3" gun you already like?

What about chrome bores, I thought most of the new shotguns have them. Are gunsmith able to ream through chrome and what is the result of such an action?

tiggertateI don't think all makers use chrome bores and I while it would not be difficult to ream through, that might create an edge that could chip later. Another way to address your question is the fact that Hevi-shot pretty makes 3.5 inch shells obsolete. I think you will less and less of them. I would go so far s to say that you are better off with a 10 ga than a 3.5 inch twelve but that's just my preference.

416SWThanks Karl just what I need a gun not legal for ducks.
What are the details, would make a serious bunny gun.
Screw in chokes? if so what chokes? proofed for steel? what size chamber? what brand? and most important of all how much.

KarlDo ducks come under restrictions here?
Interesting.
Yes it would make a good bunny buster, small game too with 2.5 ounce loads.
I sent all the details plus a link to the makers website in a PM.
Have you tried all the normal distributors here for a 3.5" 12 gauge?
I went a-hunting for one myself a few years ago and turned up a couple from regular makers I'm sure.I think beretta had one for under 3k.

Karl416sw, the shotguns I had sourced may not have had the screw in chokes then, which I did not ask about for buckshot shooting.
But the 3.5" chambre shotguns themselves were definetly out there.
As a last resort give Dave a ring at Rebel gunworks in Brisbane.
Number is 07 3391 6744. He gets all the wierd and wonderful stuff in for me and found some 12ga 3.5" shotties for me in about a day.
Mention Karl Gorilla put you onto him and he will know its another special mission
