CZ Shotguns
Today for the first time, I saw a CZ Shotgun (the 20 gauge Ringneck SxS). Thses things are gorgeous and a heck of a value. Apparently, CZ is having them made by Huglu in Turkey. Gorgeous walnut, beautiful color case receiver and very nice wood to metal fit and finish. Choke Tubes. All for $800 at the shop I visited. A heck of a value in a SxS. You could buy three of these for the same price as a Beretta Silver Hawk. Check them out.

You can get the same shotgun from DeHaan for $785 delivered to your FFL. Since you won't have to pay sales tax, (unless you live in Idaho) That will save you another $50-$60.

Even if you have to pay a dealer $20 for the FFL you are still $50 ahead.

Dehaan also has a 7 day buyback guarantee.

I just reserved a model U2E 20ga O/U with auto ejectors, selective trigger, full scroll engraving, etc. etc. for $905 delivered.

It looks to be on a par with a Beretta Silver Pigeon @ half the price. thumb

Mark Dehaan is getting an incredible repuation for his warranty work. From what I have heard (I do not own one), the guns are very durable but he goes well beyond what would be expected. His guns are also built to a higher standard that the basic Huglu (the CZ guns).

The only problem I see with his guns is that the engraving sucks. If you like and have a taste for fine engraving, get the one with the least of it. He has some special prices right now on case colored, side plate s/s's with no engraving that look very nice. They are not going to offer the SO model in a 20 gauge any longer, only in 16 and 28 gauge.

Customstox,

I went to Dehaan's web site and came to the conclusion that none of the guns are blued, they are black chromed or white chromed. Is that true? I have nothing against the chrome, I am just curious. Are the Huglu manufactured guns common enough that parts are available and they can be serviced in case Dehaan goes out of business?
