Have just (two days ago) picked up a 16 ga O/U; been looking for one for a long time. I'm in the military stationed in Germany and this shotgun was sold through Akah (a German sporting goods store), model name: Greif (pronounced: "Grife", closest translation I can come up with is 'Bird of Prey'). It's a really beutifully made shotgun, but the previous owner(s) didn't take care of it (it's got a good home now). Trying to find out who originally made it; other than the various German proof marks it shows it was made in Sardegna, Italia (Sardinia is an island off the coast of Italy). I couldn't find anything on the 'net for Sardegna/Sardinia shotgun manufacturers. Anyone have a clue who the manufacturer was/is?
