StonecreekIf it's a '60's vintage gun, it will have an aluminum receiver. Theoretcially, these won't last as long before shooting loose, but unless you shoot skeet or trap, that's not really a consideration.
With the aluminum receiver, it will be about a half-pound or more lighter than a similar steel receiver gun. I like them and would definately buy one at the right price. Just what that price is is up to the individual, but I would regard it as worth at least what the current crop of Japanese o/u's are worth, factored for condition.
There's one in the Gunamerica site for sale for about $750. Franchi's are a solid shotgun. They have always been reasonably priced and a good value. For a hunting shotgun, you can do a lot worse.
