PeglegA Beretta or a Browning Citori would put you in good standings with almost any shotgun crowd.

ramrod340If it were myself it would be a Beretta. However he is only shooting when his company has customer outing for sporting clays. He just doesn't want to continue to show up with his 870.
Looked a a shotgun site and they listed 3 entry level. A Mossberg and a couple other imports. I passed the link on to him.
Thanks for your thoughts

Ill second this recommendation. I would not get one of the cheap O/U shotguns. Don't overlook buying a used Beretta or Browning.

Gale JohnsonA Browning Citori will get you started in Sporting Clay and can be used for skeet or upland hunting also. try a few out and see what feels the best

Ray BMy preference would be to handload and get a Merkel 1620.
