Anyone know where I can find some infor on a Colton Shotgun??
I have an old double barrel that was my grandfathers It has is Marked Colton Firearms Oh on the top of the barrels I dont know anything about this gun Does anybody know what the value of one is. I am debating wheather to refinish it all of the blueing is worn off and It needs a new stock. Any info at all would be appreciated.

Colton was a Sears and Roebuck product name, kind of like their Kenmore appliances. Most likely not a real expensive gun when it was new and it would be difficult to name the manufacturer as they had products made for them by various companies then, just like they do today.

Sounds like it is a good keep sake since it belonged to your grandfather. To have it professionally restocked would probably cost more than it is worth.

It's undoubtedly more valuable to you than anyone else.
