Arriettas and AYA's
Guys,

years ago these mfg were said to make guns with soft steel and would not last. What I see on the shelves these days are beautiful examples however has the long term durability of these companies improved? I realize they are not a Boss or a MaCay Brown but a 1/10 the cost are they a value or just a average gun with allot of makeup added?
A question for those that may have purchased one in the past 5 years and shot it quite a bit!

I can not speak to today's Ariettas, but when I was in England in the 1980s, John Wilkes was selling the Ariettas as an entry level live pigeon gun, and claimed that his clients were shooting 20,000 to 30,000 rounds through them without issue. From what I have been told by several gunsmiths who work on high-grade doubles, the Arietta and AYA guns will go several tens of thousands of rounds if properly taken care of and shot with loads appropriate to the guns.
