was given a 12 ga shotgun and tring to id it
12 ga exposed hammer singleshot marked special
and a ser # and thats it. any guesses? brian

Tell us more about the shotgun.

Have you broke the shotgun down to see if there are any other markings on the underside of the barrel?
Look for markings on the level of the action.
Any writing on the butt pad.
Finally can you post a picture?

heres the pics nothing on the stock or butplata at all 12ga choke in rear top of barrell sER# on botom tang and the side of the barel lump match other than that nada. brian
