I have a an old Ithaca DS Police Special. I would like to use on deer in the next couple of weeks. What would be the best medicine to run through it? It takes 2 3/4 shells and has an 20 inch straight barrel. Thanks

Thanks are your barrels rifled?

3 of them are smooth bore with one rifled i got both my 16 ga at ithaca now getting rifled 24 inch barrells they all like win ammo even the rifled

Just curious, you say that you are getting "rifled 16 gauge barrels"? Which slugs are you going to shoot?

Lightfield makes 16 ga sabot slugs. They are the only ones I have seen, but this is an awsome setup.

not found in stores often, but can be ordered from their website. Basically same price as 12 or 20 ga sabots.

Well i haven't got the guns back but i will use some lightfield and have discovered the brenneke's shoot good in rifled barrels but don't buy a bunch cause some guns do not like them
