I have a Stevens 311 c 410 that I am having the following problem. Whenever you open the breach, the breach opens easily approximately half way open, but not open enough to insert the shotgun shells. I have to force the barrels open further to insert the shells. Is there as adjustment which allows the barrels to be opened fully?

After you fire the gun and open the barrels to unload, if you close and then open w/o firing do they still hangup? If not then I surmise the resistance you are feeling is the effort needed to cock the internal hammers. You my try squirting a little lube on the working parts.
