For 3 1/2 inch shells I much prefer a 10 guage. It simply kills better and patterns better. I have both a Browning Pump & Auto and a couple of dependable Spanish 10 ga. double barrels. I have not found a 12 guage 3 1/2 that will kill or pattern as well as a "tuned 10". We pass shoot alot.
And like the other Gentleman said; in any 3" or less 12; A Benelli M1 Super 90 is a tough gun to beat unless its a good side by side.
