billinthewildTry Google. And learn polish. To use the shotgun it takes two men to hold it and one to pull the trigger.

enfieldsparesSpecial Poldi Electro Steel is a sales label, in a way, to inform the purchaser that the steel is of superior quality from a company of superior reputation.
Like the use Boehler Blitz Steel in Europe or Jessop's or Whitworth's Fluid Pressed Steel in England being marked on barrels made with that steel.
Like these other "special steels" it may have had, perhaps, a higher contenet of this or that other element such as chrome or tungsten etc., etc.
It refers to the company (Poldi) from which the billets of steel to create the barrel came and that this isn't just steel but steel made by a company known for its superior processes.
Poldi was a Czech company and it was their steel, apparently, used to build the Sydney Harbour Bridge....I am surprised that our Australian contributor didn't know that!
