Browning Cynergy Field composite
Went to Dunkelberger's in Stroudsburg to check on the availability of a Browning Cynergy field model with a composite stock. The Browning rep told the salesman at Dunkelberger's that they had NO Cynergy field composite models available at all, and won't have any until mid to late spring. An order for one was placed on my behalf, and now I wait. Are these guns so popular that the production run has been completely sold out? I have always wanted on O/U 12 gauge, but since I hunt waterfowl frequently, I did not want to subject an O/U with nice wood to such rough treatment. Maybe that is why they are sold out for now?

The gun is too new. But do you really want one ?There were some interesting postings about it here and it seemed everyone hated the stock.

The stock fit me quite well, and I like the fact that it is adjustable for length of pull (longer in the summer, shorter in the winter) and drop at the comb. And since it has a composite stock, I won't feel guilty taking it into the marsh...

I shot one recently and they aren't for everyone. I think it is basically a really good mechanical design that will go through many iterations (ergonomically) before it is widely accepted. The funny little swinging front sight sucks big time.

The field models I looked at only had a front and mid-barrel bead. What is a swinging front sight?

The one I shot had a swinging front sight that locked the bead either one inch to the left, centered or one inch right of the centerline of the bore for "leading" passing shots.
Looked like an Arisaka anti-aircraft sight. You can imagine the ribbing the owner got from us yahoos.

Forgot to mention; every other shot it broke loose from the center position and was flip-flopping around. And that gun is for sale, BTW.
