Looking at a new sxs for quail. I would like your opinions on the AYA #2 versus Ugartechea grade IV. I am leaning toward the AYA in 20 ga. Any information you can provide will be appreciated.

I got a neat Ugartechea 20 ga recently with 24" barrels. Double triggers and straight grip.

I have a similar Bernadelli.

Here in UK the AYA and the Ugartechea have both been imported.

Personally I'd buy neither new but buy a secondhand one as their residual values aren't good.

That's not to say that they both are not good quality - they are - just that secondhand you'll pay only about 30% of the new price.

Between the two I find that the Ugartechea engraving is less "obvious" than that of the AYA so I prefer it.

In terms of quality there is nothing between them both are good makes.
