Sambar 9.3H&R shotguns
Does anyone know if H&R (NEF) are still making a 28g youth model? They list one on the website, but according to the importer, they are no longer available.
Cheers, Dave.

Sambar 9.3Thanks, that's what the website said too. I guess the distributor is just bullshitting, so he can push stock he's got rather than order something in. It isn't the first time he's done this, but I had to check.
Thanks again.
Cheers, Dave.

gerry375Dave:
Being away from guns for years now, I had no idea that H&R was even in business nowadays. I hasten to say that I'm glad to hear it!. They never made "expensive" shotguns -but when I was a boy, local farmers were very likely to keep an H&R single shot 12 gauge behind the kitchen door - to use on a chicken hawk coming in to grab a chicken or when either the dog or the chickens alerted him at night to a fox coming in for a meal. We sometimes sneered at H&R shotguns as a "gas pipe on a stick" but I don't think it made much difference to the chicken hawk or fox whether he was finished by a fancy double or by an H&R!

It's an old name in the States and I don't think you would go too far wrong in buying one. Regards, Gerry

Sambar 9.3gerry, since it will be a 10-12 month wait (now) for my 686s in 28g, I thought I might try one of these, something to fill in the time, and perhaps teach my daughter to shoot with it in a few years.
Cheers, Dave.
