<'Trapper'>Savage Four-tenners
I just came into possession of a set of Savage "Four-Tenners" These things are about 15" long, fit the barrels on a 12ga and reduce it to 410 bore. They have extractor/ejectors that fit over the extractor/ejectors of the gun so they work same as the 12 bore. Also have "o-rings" front and real to fit and seal the tubes to the barrels.
My question is what are these things worth and how well do they work? Also any idea as to the age of these or when they were produced?
They appear to be as new, still in the boxes. etc.
Any and all info appreciated.
Regards,

<redleg155>I've seen them as a set like you have for $150 to $200. The performance of the .410 in them is very good. As for the age, I'm not sure, but I'll guess 1960's to 1970's or so.

Mike103I bought mine in the early 70's for 15 dollars. They throw good patterns. Mine is in perfect condition with the box and papers. I had a guy on a English 410 web site that wanted to give me 400 dollars for mine.

Big John aka Model 12I thought youse guys gave up the ghost. I'm still at HA and ignore the politics. Clyde is the World Champion .410 skeet shooter, Redleg. I've given up on getting a set of fourtenner's but like my little skeeters in 28 ga. I've been shooting a lot of quail with the 20 ga. too. I hope all is well and miss you guys.

Good to hear from you. I do hope your hunting season is going well. I'll try to check in at HA once in a while, there are good people there too.
