icmcuminRe: Benelli SBE or M1 Field
I agree 100% with tlfw. I have had a SBE for 8 years now and it is a rugged, reliable weapon. I initially bought it for ducks and geese, but now use it for turkey, dove, quail and also for trap, skeet and clays when time permits.
I have owned a bunch of different autos and the Benelli SBE is far above all the rest.
With respect to 3 inch versus 3 1/2 inch shells, I feel it is a real benefit for the larger birds. You just throw more lead (or steel) out there with 3 1/2 inch shells. I generally shoot 3 inch for ducks and 3 1/2 inch for geese and turkeys.
Anyway, that's my dos centavos worth.
