poulsbo,
I am assuming you plan to use this as a buckshot rig as shooting 10 gauge slugs at deer doesn't seem real logical. If slugs are an option in your area, I suggest you look into a 12 gauge pump slug gun. Lighter, cheaper, longer range than buckshot, and I think you will be happier in the long run.
As to the Browning vs. Remington both are good guns. I believe browning has a Gold light 10 gauge out now which would be my choice if I was going to be doing a lot of walking. 10 gauges are ungoddly heavy and can wear you down in a hurry if you walk alot.
Hope this helps.

What are you used to shooting for a 12g? If you use a Rem. and it fits you well get the Rem. Brownings tend to fit me better so I got the Browing, but the guy above is right they are way to heavy, and I don't use it much. I like my Browing Gold in 12g better.
