Stoeger Condor Inexpensive or Cheap
I recently ran across the Stoeger website and I would like to know if they are decent shotguns or are they just cheap junk to be avoided?

I looked at a Stooger today and I now know beyond a shadow of a doubt I will not be buying one. I am supprised they can be sold anywhere. The metal to metal fit sucked, the recoil pad was not ground to fit the stock, was loose, and was more than 1/8 inch too long. The extractor if you could call it that was not selective. Overall I give it a D minus!

I waited until drewhenrytnt bought a decent gun: Stoeger is Crap. (Don't waste your money)

I was being nice, you made an excellent choice w/ the Browning Citori.

How can a recoil pad be 1/8 inch too long?

unfuzzier: Simple math. Have you ever looked at a Condor. This is not worth arguing about. If you are trying to start some shit due to lack of carefully chosen descriptions beware! I'll bury you!

1. I have the ability to conceptualize simple math fractions.

2. No, never seen one. But I have read other threads claiming, at best, that they are utilitarian.

3. No shit stirring, just curious what dimension on the factory pad could have been 1/8" too long, and why that small amount would be considered detrimental to a proper fit.

The two Condors I handled were both very crude. The recoil pads were loose and had around .080" overlap on each side of the stock. The pad would have been much better if it had only been 1/2 inch instead of 5/8". Needless to say I will not be buying a Condor.

What I am buying is a Browning Citori 16ga with 28in barrels. Found one in Corpus by accident and now on lay-a-way! I will be using it in a couple months.

Jim--pm me about your SKB o/u
