Browning FN 12 gauge
I need help identifying a shotgun I inherited from my grandfather. He aquired it sometime in the 1930's. It is a Browning automatic with "Fabrique Nationale D'Armes De Guerre Herstal Belgique" stamped on the receiver with lots of proof marks all over it. It has 2 barrels and a leather case. It looks to be in good shape but has no manual so I am not sure how to best clean it up and operate it. There is no model number that I can find. Does anyone have any info about this gun or know where to look for a manual or suggest a book about early Browning Shotguns?
Thanks,
Scott

I think what you have is some sort of a Browning A-5

I presume it says "Browning."

It absolutely is an A-5.
