rifled choke
I am looking for a deer barrel for my remmy 1100, but UK laws prevent me from having a semi-auto rifle so a fully rifled barrel is out of the question.
Does the rifled choke have any benfit effect on accuracy from a smoothbore barrel?
Have just watched the Hastings video of the fully rifled barrel you shoot sabot's through!

What would you expect from a barrel with only a rifled choke?

You should get somewhere between smooth bore and fully rifled with a rifled choke in accuracy. The rifled barrel is designed for sabot and the smoothbore and rifled choke are designed for standard slugs.

Accuracy with sabots will not be as good as a fully rifled barrel. With foster slugs you should be able to keep groups under 4"@ 75 yards, about the same as a smooth bore deer barrel with IC choke. Good sights are a must. Iron sights fixed to the barrel. When a scope is mounted on the receiver and the barrel can move, accuracy can be erratic. This is why a scoped cantilever fully rifled slug barrel with sabots is most accurate.
