I'd like one of these less expensive O/U's. Reasons aside, I'd like to hear from those with expericence with one, or both, of these guns.

I don't own a Spartan or a Mossburg, but have handled both. If you're looking to get into a double shotgun on a budget, take a look at CZ by Huglu. Much better fit and finsh for just a little more.

After handling both, the mossberg seems to have a better fit, finish and feel than the spartan. the mossberg was acctually nice enough to be tempting in a 20ga, I will wait to see some more reviews on it and get a chance to shoot one before making a final decision, the spartan on the other hand just feels like a piece of crap with a $hitty stock attatched, But with these import guns it's a crapshoot how long they last and how well they shoot. you really are better off saving your $ and getting a better gun, if you can. jj
