LHeym500RFM/Upland Gun Company is home. Excellent
Wow!
The photos from the factory shows a nice gun, but I was a little underwhelmed. The wood at the head looked few ally proud, formed looked really long and extra wide. Good, but lost in translation. Well, okay. O built into shoot tungsten at ducks, geese, and pheasant so all would be well.
Guys, the build quality is excellent. The stock dimensions are perfect. The heading is very well done, and much less proud than photos shows. Same with the foreend, it has great figure and more splinter then never as I requested. The length of the Doreen’s is perfect. The wood is gorgeous.
I was concerned that the barrels were monoblock due to some lighting of the photo.
The gun fits better than my Heym.
Every part of this gun was spaced, designed by me. The barrels are demiblock and done well.
The engine turning on the watertable and barrel flats was a surprise I did not ask for. It is gorgeous. The hand checkering is excellent.
Everything is done to a standard to be proud of.
They even appropriately greased the action.
Balance is right on the hinge as requested. It is an 8 pound gun, but moves with great liveliness. There is no weight on the left hand/arm. Truly amazing balance.
The entire team that built my gun signed a photograph of them working on her.
Guys, I could not be happier.
Going to shoot some clays here at the compound tomorrow
I’m looking at all my doubles right now and just warmed inside at how blessed I am. There is a pinch of sadness at those who are not here to share them with.
September cannot get here soon enough.
