Win. Mod. 97 barrel
I have my Dads M97 Win. and I noticed several years ago, sitting in a duck blind with it, that there was a crack in the barrel where it goes into the receiver. Anyone have an idea where I can get a new barrel for it and approximately how much it will cost?

My M97 is a take down model. What length barrels do you have and how much do they cost?

Just curious, but are you shooting steel shot from it ?

Good question. I haven't fired the thing since I saw the crack in the barrel some 25 years ago. Is there a problem with using steel shot in it?

I'd say steel would not be safe to shoot out of it. These guns were not made for it at all.

Thank you for letting me know that. I hadn't even considered the question of steel shot.

Use Enough Gun
He's right on the issue of shooting steel shot through it.
