new suppressor dimensions
I'm looking to get my first suppressor for a Arma-Lite match rifle but I need some help on dimensions. I just want something to put on the end to make practice sessions more enjoyable. The rifle itself is too heavy to take hunting, so that's not a factor.

Even though the rifle has a heavy barrel, it's capped with a standard A2 flash suppressor. What I can't seem to find is what the inner diameter of the flash suppressor is. When I look on Arma-Lite's website it lists the thread size, but I don't think that corresponds to the actual inner diameter of the flash suppressor. So I'm not sure what size sound suppressor to order.

Two, any suggestions on sound suppressor length? The rifle is already sort of muzzle heavy because of the heavier barrel, so I don't think I want anything too long. But I also don't know what effect (if any), the length of the suppressor would have on the rifle's ability to cycle rounds.

Any help would be appreciated.

If the rifle is chambered in .223 Rem./5.56 NATO, the muzzle is threaded 1/2-28. If the rifle is chambered in a .30 caliber, the muzzle is threaded 5/8-24.

Suppressors are threaded to match the threads on muzzles.

Without knowing your rifle's chambering, how can anyone recommend a suppressor?

Surefire SOCOM RC full size or mini if you are concerned about weight. The full size will be more effective.
