captnemo4 ga shotshells
I have two NPE hulls that were sold to me as being 4 gauge. They both say "Made in England" on the side of the body. One has a headstamp of 'N.' over 'V'; the other has 'J P & S' over 'V'. Questions:
1. who is 'N.'?
2. who is 'JP&S'
3. what is the meaning of the 'V'
Thanks, the_captn

USMC-Mustangwere they both empty? I have one that also says "Made in England" with a J P & S over a V.
I'd like to find a loaded one.

the on can be James Purdey & Sohns and the N may stand for Nobel Explosives or Nobel Industrie's( fom 1920). Nobel Industries was a group build up in WW 1 with all big firms in GB like Eley, Kynoch, Nobel Explosives and smaller one's.
