Value of old Winchester .22 centerfires boxes w/cartridges?
A friend has asked me to value and sell two boxes of ammo he has.
The first is a box of 50(one round is fired) Winchester .22 Caliber Single Shot, looks to be at least 100 years old, the label has damage but otherwise in good shape. Headstamp is WRA Co. 22WCF.

The second is a 50 box of Winchester .22 Hornet made for US military survival rifle use, to shoot game only, not be used
against the enemy. Box in good shape but has some clear tape. All 50 cartridges intact.

I'd appreciate any thought as to value of each, pardon the size of the photo but I wanted the labels to be legible.

Thanks, Charlie, but there are several people right on this forum who are at least as "expert" as I!!

Rob, the boxes are too beat up to be worth much *as boxes.* The .22 WCF will sell for $3 - $5 each to folks seeking a single for their collections. If you find the proverbial "right guy" who has a nice box and wants to fill it out, $2 - $3 each. The Hornet is the same deal, except relatively common & significantly less valuable. If you can get $25 for the ammo, take the money and smile.
